Solo Persone ("we", "us", or "our") is an event-verified social connection app that helps
people connect through shared real-world event experiences — not GPS proximity. This Privacy
Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We keep this plain and straightforward — no legalese.
1. Information We Collect
Account & Profile Information
- Email address and password (used to create and secure your account)
- Display name, age, gender, and profile bio
- Profile photos you upload
- City or region you optionally enter on your profile (text you type — not device GPS coordinates)
- Dating preferences (gender preference, age range)
- Religion, relationship goals, and other optional profile fields you choose to fill in
- Event badges and the events you have attended
Content You Create
- Messages you send to other users
- Event badge verification submissions (uploaded ticket images, scanned barcodes)
- Reports or blocks you submit about other users
Device & Usage Information
- Push notification token (to deliver match and message notifications to your device)
- App usage analytics: screens viewed, features used, session length. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
- Crash reports to help us fix bugs
What we do not collect
Solo Persone does not request access to your device's GPS or precise location.
We do not track where you are, surface "people near you," or match users based on proximity.
Matching is based on shared verified event attendance (event badges), not coordinates.
The iOS app does not include location permission keys in its Info.plist.
Camera & Photos
We request camera and photo library access only when you choose to take or upload a photo
(profile pictures or event ticket verification images). We never access your camera or
photo library in the background.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To show your profile to other users who share verified event attendance and power the matching system
- To deliver push notifications for new matches and messages
- To verify event attendance and award badges
- To review reported content and enforce our community guidelines
- To improve the app using aggregated, anonymised analytics
- To diagnose and fix technical issues using crash reports
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in these limited cases:
-
Other users: Your public profile (name, age, photos, event badges) is
visible to other Solo Persone users. Messages are visible only to the conversation participants.
-
Service providers: We use Supabase to store your data securely in the cloud.
We use Expo to deliver push notifications to your device. These providers process data only
on our behalf and are bound by data protection obligations.
-
Ticketmaster: When you search for an event by name in the badge
verification flow, your search query is sent to the Ticketmaster Discovery API to
return matching event suggestions. No account or personal data is sent to Ticketmaster.
-
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law,
court order, or to protect the safety of users or the public.
4. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account,
we delete your profile, photos, and messages within 30 days, except where we are
required to retain data for legal or safety reasons (e.g. user reports).
5. Your Choices & Rights
- Access & correction: You can view and edit your profile information at any time in the app.
- Delete account: You can delete your account from the app settings. This permanently removes your profile and personal data.
- Push notifications: You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.
- Camera & photos: You can revoke camera and photo library permissions at any time in your device settings.
- Analytics: You can opt out of app analytics in the app's Privacy & Safety settings.
6. Data Security
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS).
Access to the database is restricted using row-level security policies so users can only
access data they are authorised to see. We review security practices regularly.
7. Children's Privacy
Solo Persone is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will
delete their account immediately.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make significant changes, we will
notify you through the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page
will always reflect the most recent version.
